**The Grateful Dead are MusiCares’ 2025 Persons of the Year!** MusiCares honored original band members **Mickey Hart**, **Bill Kreutzmann**, and **Bobby Weir**, and the night included special posthumous tributes to **Jerry Garcia** and **Phil Lesh** as well. On January 31st, 2025, MusiCares’ annual GRAMMY Week gala celebrated their creative and [philanthropic work](https://www.musicares.org/news/how-the-grateful-dead-gives-back-foundations-2025-persons-of-the-year).

All Person of the Year proceeds support [MusiCares’ vital programs and relief efforts](https://www.musicares.org/get-help) including assistance for music professionals impacted by the recent [Greater Los Angeles wildfires](https://www.musicares.org/news/la-wildfire-relief-financial-assistance-resources).
